齐：通“斋”，斋戒。
明衣：斋戒沐浴后换穿的干净内衣。
变食：改变日常饮食，不饮酒，不吃韭、葱、蒜等气味浓厚的蔬菜，不吃鱼肉。
迁坐：改变卧室。古人在斋戒以及生病时，住在“外寝”，而平常居住的卧室则叫“燕寝”，与妻室在一起。
