子zǐ曰yuē：“大dà哉zāi，尧yáo之zhī为wéi君jūn也yě！巍wēi巍wēi乎hū，唯wéi天tiān为wéi大dà，唯wéi尧yáo则zé之zhī。荡dàng荡dàng乎hū，民mín无wú能néng名míng焉yān。巍wēi巍wēi乎hū，其qí有yǒu成chéng功gōng也yě。焕huàn乎hū，其qí有yǒu文wén章zhāng。”

1The Master said, 'Great indeed was Yao as a sovereign! How majestic was he! It is only Heaven that is grand, and only Yao corresponded to it. How vast was his virtue! The people could find no name for it.

2'How majestic was he in the works which he accomplished! How glorious in the elegant regulations which he instituted!'
